The universal coupling also know as universal joint shaft or Hooke’s joint that is used to join two rods. U-joint shaft is used for joining two shafts incline perpendicular 90ᵒ to each other and transmit the rotary motion or power.

Universal Coupling is my first tutorial when I started on youtube. In the below video you will learn to complete modeling from scratch and assembly in the end. I apologize for the background music in advance. make sure to leave comments and suggestions for improvement in my future videos.

Universal coupling is used in many applications like Aircraft industries, drive mechanism, metal forming machinery, conveyor belts, Centrifugal blowers, and Sewing machines, etc.
